Community Midwives

We have 3 midwives attached to our practice who are involved with all women during pregnancy.  They will help you to plan your care during pregnancy and labour.  After your baby is born your midwife will visit regularly at home for the first 10 days.  Telephone (Surgery) 01392 211266  (Hospital) 01392 406686.

Community Nurses

When a patient is housebound or too ill to come to the surgery the community nurses may make a home visit. Visits are usually arranged by your doctor or sometimes by the hospital. You can contact a nurse by leaving a message on the answerphone. Telephone 01392 429122.

Health Visitors

A health visitor is a registered nurse who has received training particularly related to babies, children and pregnant women. Their role is to provide families with children under five years old with support and advice around the general aspects of mental, physical and social wellbeing.
